Details: Dale Cottage is situated in the village of Rosedale Abbey at the heart of the North York Moors National Park which is the largest expanse of heather upland in England. The rugged landscape of the Moors is softened by the deep cuts of the secluded dales and offers some of the most spectacular countryside to be found anywhere.

Accommodation: The cottage is furnished to a very high standard and sleeps four people in one double bedroom and one twin bedroom plus bathroom with separate shower cubicle. Downstairs there is a cosy sitting room with a large stone fireplace and wood/coal burning stove and all modern conveniences. There is also a T.V. , CD/radio stereo system, and video player. The cottage is unsuitable for young children and pets are not allowed. It is non-smoking throughout.

In the kitchen as well as the dining table, there is an electric cooker, fridge/freezer, microwave and washing machine. There is a small w.c. under the stairs and a conservatory which faces south west overlooking the enclosed garden, and lovely views of the hillside.

Rosedale Abbey: A picturesque village 10 miles from Pickering and 17 miles from Whitby on the coast. It never had an abbey but the remains of the Priory, which was occupied by the Cistercians for 400 years from the mid 12th century, can be seen in the turret field next to the church. The walks all round the village, up on the disused railway line and on the Moors offer fabulous views of this particularly lovely area. The village has a bakery, tea rooms, general stores and three pubs within walking distance of Dale Cottage.
