The property enjoys an elevated position above the village of Cropton and overlooks the beautiful countryside of the area with the moors providing the perfect backdrop. High Farm stands in its own grounds surrounded by an extensive garden area filled with many varieties of trees, shrubs and roses. No longer a working farm, the buildings have been thoughtfully and sympathetically converted into three single storey self catering cottages whilst bed and breakfast accommodation can be found in High Farm. Bed & Breakfast: We have 3 double en suite guest bedrooms each with its own character and view of the grounds. All rooms have tea/coffee making facilities and a colour TV. Central heating throughout. Unwind by the open fire in the guests' lounge with tea and home-made scones, and you can stroll to the village inn which has its own brewery and caters for both bar and restaurant meals. The B&B is no smoking throughout & regrettable we do not accept pets. Holiday Cottages: Three delightful Visit Britain 4 star single storey cottages surrounded by beautiful two acre garden with views of the North York Moors National Park. All the cottages have been finished to the highest standard and sleep between 2 & 6 people. Stable Cottages and Rue Crusts View have a double and twin bedroom each. Hobbits Hideaway has 2 double bedrooms and a twin. All the rooms have their own wash basin & shaver point. Each cottage boasts fully fitted oak kitchen/dining areas & master bathrooms, central heating, linen & sundries included. Sorry no pets. Local Area: Cropton a pretty unspoilt village is ideally placed in central Ryedale for easy access to the moors, coast and York. There are many marvelous country walks right on our doorstep. Take in the stunning scenery from our field containing the site of Cropton's Motte & Bailey Castle and the abundance of wild flowers and grasses in our SSSI site near Sinnington Wood. The New Inn at Cropton offers both Bar & Restaurant meals and is home to the famous Cropton Brewery. See the beautiful splendor of Castle Howard or have a wonderfully nostalgic ride on the North Yorkshire Moors Steam Railway through 'Heartbeat' country. Horse riding, golf & swimming facilities are also available nearby.
